How to Reach Anvil Centre

By Car

New Westminster is connected to Metro Vancouver’s major highways and arteries via three bridges: the Queensborough Bridge (connecting Highway 91 and the East-West Connector), the Patullo Bridge (connecting Surrey’s King George Boulevard), and the new Port Mann Bridge (connecting Highway 1).

For travellers arriving by BC Ferries, the newly opened South Fraser Perimeter Road (Highway 17) provides a quick, direct route to New Westminster via the Bridgeview Drive/130 St. exit and the River Road/Nordel Way exit.

By Rapid Transit

Immediately across the Anvil Centre on Eighth Street is the New Westminster SkyTrain station. Less than a 30-minute ride from downtown Vancouver, the New Westminster station is serviced by both the Expo and Millennium Lines.

Visitors arriving from YVR can connect to SkyTrain via the Canada Line at the airport. After a transfer at Waterfront Station, visitors can arrive at Anvil Centre in about 30-minutes.

Visitors from the Tri-Cities can reach Anvil Centre from Coquitlam City Centre in just over 30 minutes via the Evergreen Line, with a transfer to the Millennium Line at Lougheed Town Centre.

Actsafe acknowledges and respects how difficult the past few years have been for the BC Arts and Entertainment industry workers and employers. As such, the event budget was re-worked many times to ensure ticket prices were set as low as possible, with the goal being break-even/cost-recovery and no profit. Also, in response to strong feedback from the industry and to ensure accessibility, a hybrid event has been planned for the first time ever, offering both an in-person and virtual opportunity for attendance.

Like everything, costs for both in-person and virtual event expenditures have increased. Actsafe's revenue has also been impacted by the volatility of the past few years. However, thanks to our generous sponsors and speakers, we were able to set prices that were significantly lower than the market price for comparable safety conferences in BC.

We sincerely appreciate your interest in joining us. We hope you are able to attend, and we look forward to welcoming you to our event.

For your convenience, we have reserved a limited number of rooms at Inn At The Quay in New Westminster, just a few minutes away from Anvil Centre. Room availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that Actsafe is not responsible for any reservations or cancellations. Attendees are responsible for covering their own hotel expenses. Actsafe will not be covering any accommodation costs.

We want to let you know that we may take photographs of you at the event. If you choose to buy a ticket, we'll take that as your consent for Actsafe to use any captured photos or videos for future advertising and promotional purposes. Please contact us at communications@actsafe.ca if you have any questions or reservations.
